Our Story:
Our founder, John, began his career as a Store Director in the early 1990s, managing major grocery chains including Smith Food & Drugs, Lucky Stores, and Albertsons. He later went on to serve as a District Manager for Southern Wine & Spirits and a Regional Manager with Nestlé Corporation, overseeing large territories and thousands of products across the food and beverage industry.

One of John’s most notable achievements was managing the Smith Food & Drugs location at Beach & Imperial in Anaheim, California, where he successfully led a team of 120+ employees and 12 department heads. That store generated more than $750,000 in weekly sales, and one thing always stood out — seniors shopped there every single day.  John didn’t just manage stores — he worked directly in customer service for many years and built personal relationships with his customers.

One story still defines the heart of ShopFresh4U today:
A 71-year-old senior named Mrs. Holts depended on a special molasses syrup that John’s store did not carry. Instead of turning her away, John drove to another store outside the Smith’s family of stores, purchased the syrup himself, and promised to order it in bulk so she would never go without it again.
That moment shaped everything.
